"Public care is the only way to go. This is because health care is not a commodity.

Here¹s why. One: Need, Not Choice

Patients are in a position of need, not choice. Their survival can be dependent upon regular visits to a clinic or to a doctor. Unlike other products in the marketplace, if you need medical services to make you well or function normally you can¹t shop around for the best deal, nor can you compare makes and models, nor withdraw your consumer choice because the product is over-priced with the hope that if enough patients do the same the price will drop as supply exceeds demand. If you need medical care, you need it now."

But in Ontario Demand is larger than supply and people are dying because the health care is not there. Doctors are over worked, cleaning and nursing staff are run off their legs, but administration has lots of time....

The big problem about Socialists is that they drown sane and logical argument or discussion with hysteria. The last look they took at hospitals found them to be dirty with staaph germs and all kinds of stuff growing on surfaces that no one has time to clean. In the mean time, the socialists can't see that some things can be provided to the public by private enterprise and give better service with the same amount of cost. We Don't have enough MRI's here. So we pay a private clinic in Buffalo to do the MRI's rather than allow the Canadian company that already does lab work and Xrays to buy and operate an MRI? If we already allow them to own and operate an X-Ray clinic, and do all the lab work what is the problem with an MRI????? Why do Liberals think it is acceptable to have a 6 week wait when checking for cancer (except for athletes and politicians) than it is to allow a privately owned publicly paid for MRI?????

No mention of waiting times ? c'mon... fresc.. without that issue in the light that article is plain drivel.... not worth the electrons it takes up... people are dying because they aren't getting seen in time in our superior system..

On another topic... here is a great case in point of exactly where the money going to the useless gun registry (OK not completely useless as it creates government jobs <ng>)

70 dead in 2 years ? why is this only getting national attention now ? Gun registry... going from boondoggle to travesty...
