Yes, I have heard of a mulligan and my provisional ball went perfectly, a few metres to the right. However, I'm somewhat pedantic about things like that and winning by getting a ride in a car during a marathon run seems a pathetic thing to do. The prize was nice to get, but not really the point of the game. As it happened, I scored a bottle of wine and $30 gift voucher too, which was only a bottle less than the winner. If I was playing against the Nazi Party leaders, I'd be happy to do mulligans galore. But among friends, fair's fair. Mqurice
