Don, I agree that movie projected him in negative light. However, it is like Ted Bundy admitting that he ran a stop light once. The American War was a very well documented war for those interested. May I suggest that you look into McNamara's role in the war, and see if you still agree that he had come clean. mtholyoke.edu If he had said, as an opening line in the movie, then I think it would be a start to his healing process: I, Robert McNamara, screwed up really bad. As a result of my actions, 2 million Vietnamese and 58,000 Americans died, and unknown millions of lives ruined.
