Yes but $300 billion is enough money to be principle all by itself. It's what we pay every year in interest on the national debt so it's not chump change. I've heard it's enough to pay for all the college educations in the US in a year.

We're in severe deficit which will make us more vulnerable to everything from economic disaster to being unable to call our own shots. Besides, the Republicans want to bankrupt the country (while taking the money for themselves) and make the middle and upper middle class irrelevant.

If you can't pay your bills and fear for your financial survival, you're not going to be politicking or forming unions or suing corporations.

It's a long, drawn out fight the Republicans have been waging against the US of A for half a century. They can see the brass ring of one-party tyranny and they're going to make a grab for it.
