A couple of years back I read in the Macon Telegraph where a fisherman got snagged (I guess he was using that spiderwire line that is just about unbreakable) and dragged in a pre-historic dugout canoe out of the Ocmulgee River. That, too, was near our Indian Mounds. Macon used to be a trading post for the Indians and settlers. Hunting arrowheads and civil war relics is a popular hobby down here. The only thing I ever dug up was a couple civil war bullets and a couple of mule shoes.

Did they move the Mississippi?
Where did they put the Ohio?

MapQuest lists two Mt Vernons in Indiana and the Mississippi river is at least 80 miles from anyplace in Indiana. The Wabash river is part of the border between IN & IL. The Ohio river is the border between IN & OH.

Are you sure of where you lived or did the adults around you lie to you? You seem to have a slight memory problem when it comes to spatial objects, like maps. <VBG>
