Flynn tried to prove that there were no racial intelligence differences, but found to his dismay that there were. So the question then was why? Nutrition? TV watching? Lack of attention? Bad teachers? Lack of a father? ANYTHING but DNA was what he and most people are looking for. Please, please, please don't let it be DNA. Which is silly. There's more to being human than intelligence. That's just a small variable in the grand scheme of things, as proven by the fact that there are millions and billions and trillions of insects, which are totally mindless, yet they are highly successful; so far anyway, which is what counts. There is also our emotional status, which is not necessarily a function of intelligence as far as I can tell. There is also immune system function. When one is highly intelligent and suffering lymphoma one would no doubt be happy to trade a bunch of IQ points for a robust immune system. Our DNA has got a LOT of stuff in it and a lot of it is essential to success in life. Intelligence is just one aspect. There's no need for people to get all hung up about it, especially since it's a weak point for humans compared with how smart cyberspace will soon be. We should be more boastful about our strengths, rather than our weaknesses. Bats don't boast about their intelligence. They show off their ultrasound navigation techniques. Beagles have great noses. Humans are good at finding our way through a forest and catching deer and pigs. Computers are going to have trouble climbing trees for a longggg time. Leave the smart stuff for the truly intelligent. Our muscles were shown as being pathetic in the industrial revolution, when machines replaced our digging, lifting and pushing talents. Our minds will be shown as pathetic in the cyberspace revolution. The minuscule difference between the intelligence of one racial group and another is not something to get wound up about. Though plenty of people do. My original point was the lack of good stuff coming out of Islamic Jihad culture. But as you say, let's give it a rest.
