What, are you praying to the Washington Monument now? That's curious but you do whatever you like in the praying department. If you wish to remove symbols and 'in god we trust' from currency and all reference to God, Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Krishna, etc. etc. from all government documents, institutions and activities, that's fine by me. If they are used as non-religious cultural and historical symbols instead, that's fine by me as well. Go for it! Petition your Congressperson! It protects RELIGION as much as it protects the STATE. The truly religious should seek separation instead of trying to bully the state. Under the current situation, non fake christian fundamentalists should really be concerned. What, will our 'papers' eventually have a box for 'religion'? If the Dobsons of the world have a say, it most assuredly will.
