I don't understand these guys who make a fortune being a capitalist and then turn against it. Maybe they feel guilty about who they stabbed in the back or stepped on to make their fortune. A person who makes a fortune ethically has no reason to turn on the system that made it possible.

Okay, thanks for publishing the link. The organization behind this smear on the environmental group supporting sustainable agriculture is an extremely right-wing group whose goal is to destroy all environmental organizations.

undueinfluence.com

They are RABID capitalists. Environmental organizations are not about making money. They are about trying to make sure the entire planet is not destroyed by unregulated capitalism, in fact. Corporations exist entirely to make money for their owners and shareholders. Unfortunately, when they are totally unregulated they have no interest in preserving the environment or any of the earth's resources so that future generations can also flourish. Are you at all concerned at what the world will be like for your grandchildren?

Did you know that by 2025 two thirds of the earth's fresh water, including rain water, will be under private control? The goal of these corporations is to sell water to people. Unfortunately, in the third world people cannot afford to buy it, so there will be noting but pain and agony and deaths from dirty water. There are riots there now about this situation, but we somehow don't hear about them in the United States. This private control of absolutely essential resources that should be available to everyone is very similar to terminator seed technology, another really evil corporate idea that is anti-evolutionary and has the same kind of negative energy as nuclear bombs do in my opinion.

I know you are fairly conservative, but you seem to be one of the most fair-minded conservatives I talk to at SI. I am wondering if you could find it in your heart to watch the documentary The Corporation (available through Netflix) so that we could have a fuller discussion of some of the ramifications of corporate control of the earth's resources. I would so appreciate your watching it. And anyone else who finds this topic interesting. I do not think anyone will come away from the movie with exactly the same views they had going in, but of course whatever your opinion is, I would love to talk about it some more.
