C-SPAN, BookTV and Griffin. Has anyone figured out a pre-emptive rule on when C-SPAN will internet-archive the goodies they air (and internet-stream) during weekends?? This one seems to be a good "After Words" candidate for being archived, but, for the rest of the goodies?? Like you, I was a "1" on 9/11. A week later, I had a long conversation with a sister who is a Bush believer. I told her that I'd done some research on government deceptions such as Pearl Harbor, the Tonkin Gulf Resolution and such. And that I thought that the events of 9/11 were simply too heinous to have been the willful act of evil men in the secret government. By November, 2001 I began to have some very serious questions about the lack of response by FAA/NORAD/USAF. The official story we were being fed by the mainstream media did not seem truthful to me. That was the start of my research into 9/11. Since then, everything I've considered, including Bush's attempt to stifle what eventually became the Kean-Zelikow Liefest, the suppression of evidence, the stifling of real questioning by the 9/11 Commission has simply confirmed my worst fears about who perpetrated 9/11. After exhaustive research, Michael Ruppert concludes in "Crossing the Rubicon" that Dick Cheney is the mastermind of 9/11. That the PNAC crowd saw 9/11 as a "great opportunity" (to quote Don Rumsfeld) and that since it was such a great opportunity, that the secret government felt compelled to perpetrate the crime employing some tontos utiles as patsies. Creating in the mind of a gullible public the image of swarthy foreigners attacking the "Homeland"(TM). This story makes a hell of a lot more sense than to believe in the fairy tale that 19 fanatical Muslims using plastic boxcutters were able to defeat the one trillion dollar military of the U.S. The key to 9/11 is to realize just how completely preposterous the story is of four commercial jets being hijacked and the government being completely incompetent in reply. That dog don't hunt. So, in 2002, I was someone who was leaning to the LIHOP theory. That is, the secret government "Let it happen on purpose". By 2003, I had done enough research to revise that view to a solid Type-4 understanding that 9/11 was an inside job perpetrated by very evil men who are attempting to create an American Empire and who are totally cold-blooded in their arrogance and fanaticism. Murdering 3000 people in order to further the goals of Empire would be a trivial matter for them. The only question in their mind was how to apply "Shock and Awe" to the American public, and get away with it. So far these evil imperialists have pulled off one of the most heinous crimes in American history. *** Re: If 4 is proven, or even 3 partially, what will happen to Bush and team and the rest of the Republican Party in the next few years? Will they survive as a party if either 3 or 4 is proven to be true?? Keep in mind that the whores in the corporate media have been part of the conspiracy. The question must be what sort of a lever do the honest citizens of this country have in the face of the overwhelming corruption of our government and media by a tiny and self-serving corporate elite. All of the power is in the hands of the bastards. And I've tried very hard to go around the media here locally with a series of documentary films and seminars. And what I've discovered is that there is a small core of people who are interested in the truth and honesty, while surrounding us and outnumbering us in this community is thousands of people who are drinking the rightwing Kool-Aid, allowing themselves to be propagandized by rightwing fundamentalist church leaders and generally acting completely insane. The reaction of the American public to 9/11, the vast increase in military aggression and the hyperbolic dishonesty on the part of the GOP is truly ghastly. Most people want to be lied to, it turns out. Just as the Nazi propagandists, the fathers of Karl Rove and Frank Luntz, would have told us.
