A 20 year rule (100% publicly funded campaigns are more important of course but this doesn't hurt) would knock out the most egregious examples like that of Tauzin pounding through the Medicare (drug co welfare) bill and then going right to work for BigPhrma as a $2m/year lobbyist.

If there were laws against incestuous directorships between companies AND stronger unions AND direct liability for CEOs for what their corporations did under their rule, that would help. I doubt it's possible to put wage caps on CEOs.

Now this is interesting thinking from George Will, he said that if it gets bad enough, corporations will start crying for universal health care. Heck, when things get bad enough, gun toting NRAers will start crying for environmental protection for prey.

Some things have the oddest members in their constituencies.
