No, you proved my point. There is a higher burden of proof for a public figure like a politician. In other words, the smearer has dragged you down into the mud with him and to prove him guilty you have to dissect every detail of your life. In other words, you play into the liar's game.

The smearvets were truly evil people. As evil as it gets in American politics next to assassinating someone. When they started their lie campaign they knew they'd get away with it, even if they were 100% dishonest. Ben Ginsberg the Bush campaign lawyer was their counsel. It was all part of the Bush campaign. Every bit of it. Just not officially.
