Of course slavery was an abomination. It really amazes me the way no one seems to get it. The winner gets to write history. Let me give you an example. If George Bush loses the Iraq war and the usa is miltarily defeated then in future usa school text books (all written in parsi) George Bush's photo is shown next to pictures of tortured Abhu Graib prisoners. They are taught he was a despicable war criminal responsible for attempted genocide in a war of naked aggression attempting to steal Iraqi oil. That is what he would stand for if he loses and no one questions it. At that time if I said GWB was a good president my sanity is questioned. "How could anyone say such a war criminal who attempted a new holocaust was good" is what I would be asked. If he wins the world is taught a whole different story. Don't you see how we are brainwashed? You think brainwashing doesn't work? Let me ask you this. If brainwashing doesn't work do you think it is just some kind of coincidence that 95% of the people born in a christian country are christians and 95% of the people born in a muslim country are muslim? Brainwashing has nothing to do with it and all of these people reached these conclusions on their own independent investigation? Ending slavery was a good and necessary thing. The non-federalist system we have now is an abomination. To ignore the abomination and glorify the leader who created it is the result of brainwashing and the key to brainwashing is that it is an unquestioned given. So Abe Lincoln was all good and destroying the founding father's vision just meant moving the goal posts to make it seem like their vision was what we have now.
