You have taken Frist out of context. His position on the
subject was quite appropriate & his two-stage reform plan was
reasonable, logical, balanced & constitutionally sound.

I've added the same context that the article adds with previous statements of Democrats, i.e., what was their prior position.

The current Senate rules and the Frist's proposal are both Constitutionally sound. If the Senate as a body wishes to change their rules, that's up to the Senate. I don't give a sh#t either way. But I'm not going to pretend that Sen Frist is attempting to end bipartisanship. They simply don't like that the minority, now the Democrats, are using the Senate rules to impede the majority. Which is what the Republicans did when they were the minority. When the majority and minority switch, the Republicans will be digging through the Senate rules to find any way they can obstruct the Democrats and I have little doubt that you'll be supporting any obstruction that the Republicans will come up with.
