So what? Labour had a large majority up until this election.

In Germany Schröder has been doing that for several years now and most likely will hang on to that "joyless victory" position for another 2 years until next election day.

So what? Labour had a large majority prior to this election unlike Schroeder.

You wax on about all things Italian but I have to tell you what I've seen of their cinema I am not impressed. In the past couple of months, I have seen three Italian films and not one did I find all that good. Typically, the US only gets the best of a country's films because most Americans can't handle sub titles and anything that my be mistaken for communism. <g>

Seriously, the last Italian film I saw was a drama/comedy that turned into a musical in the last 5 minutes of the film. Now what's that all about?

If this is the best of Italian film, then Italian film doesn't look to be very good which seems to contradict your perspective on the country.
