Al, IMO, George Will ought to have explained the following statement more:

Christians are indeed experiencing some petty insults and indignities concerning things such as restrictions on school Christmas observances.

Sure, in the grand scheme of things it's all rather petty, and freedom OF religion will ultimately survive. But threats of lawsuits from the ACLU are anything but petty. Neither is the anti-Christian bias that exists within academia. And the biases within mainstream media sure don't seem petty to a lot of people.

George Will gives the faithful a lot of reasons to not only be optimistic, but also avoid the victim mentality that PC secularists have created. As for those who seemingly want to mix religion and politics, sure they can stand some more sensitivity toward followers of other religions (or followers of no religion). But I think Christians ought to get a fair shake and have some of their fears addressed in a proper manner.

So the Jews are as sensitive about having been depicted as the killers of Christ in the Bible...they are no less vocal about their sensitivities as Christians are about theirs...what is so shocking about that?

I'll duck this question for now, as I see a strong "anti-Zionist" presence here and I don't want to fan those flames.
