Anti-crash software....(hmmm, sounds ominously familiar).
The trial litigation and class action suit lawyers are already
licking their lips. I can see it now.....a car crashes and
the software company gets sued, or the software overrides
a driver "attempting" to avoid an accident and causes severe
emotional stress, and then there is the European insistence
that MSFT must have a limited version so that 3rd party
software companies can install their version, oh, and let's
not forget the "open source" Linux versions.... What's next?
Maybe the major airlines cut costs by totally eliminating
pilots in the cockpit, allowing the software to totally
fly the plane....thanks but I think I'll walk! BB
