Julie Koenig, director of communications for Churchill Downs, Inc., said seven people hit the superfecta on Saturday. But none of the bets were placed in Kentucky.

Two people in New Jersey picked Giacomo, Closing Argument, Afleet Alex and Don’t Get Mad to finish in that exact order. One person in New England, another in Nevada, and one each in Maine, Pennsylvania and Arizona, also made the correct, get-rich-quick pick.

If he is smart, that will be the last horse bet he places. There is nowhere to go but down hill from here.
