I've also noticed that the rightwing has stopped trying to defend Bush as being anything more than an imbecile. His mental deterioration between the campaign of 2000 and now is stunning. Now Rove has two reasons to keep George under wraps in Crawford most of the time: - George has lost most of his mind and is an embarrassment when he wanders off script - he has free reign with Guckert. I wonder if Guckert gives Rove a discount from his normal $200/hour rate. 197 WH day passes have to be worth some discount.
