In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that industry checks suggest that the company's bookings are likely to have been flat in F2Q05, which is at the high end of the guidance range. The analysts expect Applied Materials to announce order guidance of flat to 5% growth for F3Q05. The company is likely to launch a new Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) tool in 2H05, UBS adds.>>

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company is scheduled to report its F2Q05 results on May 17. Bear Stearns expects Applied Materials to post its results broadly in-line with the expectations, with the potential for a marginal upside to the EPS guidance.
