I. Teenage Pregnancy rate at 30+ year lows.
A. Rate of minors giving birth to children at 30+ year lows *
B. Abortion rate of minors (terminating pregnancies) at 30+ year lows *

II. Crime rates at or near Historic Lows
A. Violent Crime Rate at 30+ year lows *
B. Property Crime Rate at near 30+ year lows *

III. Nationally, average SAT (for college bound high school students) scores at 36 year highs. Along with a much higher participation rate among all ethnic, economic and social backgrounds (meaning a greater representation of the United States than 36 years ago).

IV. Unemployment/Employment going in the right direction
A. Number of employed Americans 140.9 million (141 adjusted) an all time high.
B. Number of payroll employees at all time highs.
C. Unemployment rate lowest since September 2001.

V. Bush making good on one of the last of Woodrow Wilson's 14 points - Self Determination for former (Arab) territories of the Ottoman Empire (America's European Allies didn't think much of that idea, then either).

It should be noted that I - III continued trends that began in earlier Administrations.

Of course, there's the deficit. O.K. we can argue that it's not fair to compare tax receipts now with The Bubble (stock options) Years. And yes, clearly the economy was going into recession as early as the 3rd Quarter of 2000 (3rd Quarter had negative GDP growth, and 4th Quarter was positive probably only because of last minute spending on Y2K and actions by the Federal Reserve). And I do believe, that at the time, the tax cut of 2001 was a good idea. And I support the war effort. But even though deficit projections are now beginning to go the right direction, with better than expected numbers - there still is that deficit.
