Holland has practically wiped out its drug crime by legalizing marijuana. By allowing that highly regulated and taxed outlet for those who want to smoke weed (a drug which has never killed anyone) they have put the mafia out of business and made hard drugs irrelevant and hard to find.
They have also not wasted time and money in their justice and prison system.

Furthermore, surprise surprise, they've found Dutch teenagers have almost no interest in pot since it's legal. It's mainly tourists and older guys who smoke it. Apparently, something about it being illegal appeals to rebellious teens. That's human nature I guess, wanting to rebel against the parental establishment. Instead, now they rebel by being good kids who don't take drugs. Ironic huh?

I am not against guns, I am against assault weapons, military hardware, drum and banana magazines and everything else that's completely unnecessary for home protection or hunting. Those are the only two excuses for owning firearms in America, home defense and hunting. Anymore more and you have a potentially dangerous gun nut on your hands.

Also, we need smart weapons, so if the weapon is stolen or taken by a child it cannot be fired. No matter where my dad hid his rifles I always knew where to find them and was always interested in shooting them as a kid.
