Nature is full of chaos and that variety is by design. More variety, more robust organisms. Some minorities, or aberrations as you put it, prove to be superior and become the majority, or the norm. Others wither away and die off to be replaced by other minorities. Historical documentation on the human population shows that homesexuality has largely trended with societal norms. There are some tribal cultures in centuries past that actively promoted homesexuality to limit tribal growth. Less mouths to feed. Other cultures including ancient Greek and Roman didn't place large taboos on homosexual behavior, so it was widespread. Based on history, I have largely formed the opinion that homosexuality is mostly a factor of societal norms and taboos, as well as personal choice. My real question as far as the science goes is whether homosexuality is caused by genetic aberrations or whether homosexuality leads to changes in physical makeup. Stranger things have happened. It's well know in scientific circles that psychosomatics plays a huge role in the health and physical makeup of an individual.
