Its possible but really unlikely. And you never know when the kooky monarch might just decide to change the whole system when he wakes up in the morning...

1st - Try not to put any thing like a . or a " or a ) or a } or a ] at the end of a link in an SI post. SI chokes on the link when you click it.

As for the content -

Doesn't sound like a bad idea.

I'm not sure if I really like this part though -

"Reflecting the terms of

would cancel unredeemed bonds."

And you would face the potential problem of those who did move SS 401K money out of government bonds in to risky investments and then procede to lose it all. Then they would lobby that they should get at least minimal social security payments anyway, and they and their supporters would try to paint anyone who objects as a "right wing extremeists" who is "kicking poor old people out on the street to starve".
