OT ... Lizzie, I read that as fear that we might enter a period of stagflation ... not that we're there now.

However, elsewhere in the article, Princeton University's Paul Krugman states stagflation is here now, and he terms it "mild stagflation". He bases his case on current employment being understated, so I'm skeptical. See "A Whiff of Stagflation" at pkarchive.org

BTW Krugman is the only one (in the article) saying stagflation or mild stagflation is here now.
