Check "amores perros" as well. I will get back on German and Italian films, especially since you seem to be interested in the real great stuff of yesterdays... I am not......I just happened to see the Garden of the Finzi Continis because this girl suggested we go. Have you seen the film? Not only was the story powerful but the cinematography was incredible. It initially took place in a suburb of Venice. The setting, their villa, the clothes.....came off well on film. Of course, the concentration camp scenes were striking for a different reason. I am sure its on video in Italy.......you should check it out. ted
