Cary, the current generation of SanDisk MP3's...

...functions essentially like a USB drive with a drive letter assigned upon connection to a PC
and simple "drag and drop" functionality. The transfer rates are extremely fast as well. There is
no additional software required. And while there is no card expansion, I can't see how an additional
SD card would affect device performance.

Hi Cary,

This is a very good deal (unless its a price mistake) if you are looking for a Sansa-

eBuyer.com has the SanDisk Sansa e100 1GB MP3 Player for $135 - $20 rebate [Exp 5/19] + $3 shipping = $118 shipped. You can add up to 2GB of additional storage space with the SD slot.

I have a MPIO mp3 player about the size of a cig lighter, which I have been using for the last two years and I have used it with several different SD cards and never had a problem. One can drag-and-drop one's favorite mp3 files on any SD card using a card reader/writer and the player will recognize the songs. If you like to move the files to embedded flash, you have to go through its own s/w.
