If spoken to directly, and truthfully, without tricks and deception... the public would be far more likely to support change.


It is easier to explain it when the opposing party is not spreading FUD. The current obstructionist in the Democrat party is concentrating their publicity efforts on FUD.

I heard there was a radio commercial out lying about the Democrats unprecedented filibustering of judicial nominees. The text I read made it clear they were trying to spin the Constitutional Option as preventing the filibuster for everything, rather than restoring precedent. I also read one telling the Republican version.

If the opposition wanted a solution, we could get one quickly. It appears Democrats want to regain control before offering a different version. We suspect that President Bush's revised solution for Social Security would only extend solvency. Are we to believe that the yet unnamed, undescribed Democrat plan would do better?
