Sun Rays aren't cheaper than PC's and now your talking about clustering etc. which will take 2x hardware in the backend. If there is a network "hiccup" all that clustering won't help you one iota.

Hypothetically as a CIO there is a large initial cost to get into the technology (ditch desktops and buy Sun Rays), high short-term risks (performance, acceptance, reliability), high long-term risks since all the innovation in the desktop marketplace is with PC's, with the *potential* of reducing my operational overhead in the future; assuming Sun Rays environment is cheaper/easier to manage than an MSFT one.
