No. It's because the kind of representative democracy practiced by the US and which has helped us prosper relies on checks and balances and protection of minority interests. It's what prevents the US from going the way of tyranny which is, no joke, what the Republicans are gunning for.

ONE-PARTY RULE

If you're not the 5% they care about, you're not included in that ONE-PARTY RULE. They may trick you into thinking that you are but, stop being gullible, YOU'RE NOT.

You don't think that the 10 nominees have ethical and competence problems? One of them can't figure out why taking money from a corporation makes it unethical to rule about their fate.

Republicans want to be able to get ANYONE at all they want into lifetime appointments including, of course, Scalia or Thomas (good GOD) for Chief Justice. They want to kill dissent, kill democracy and kill the US of A as we know it.

They aren't FOR YOU, no matter how much you wish they were and how much you believe it. They're in this for their own personal interest and profit.

The rightwing stopped 62 Clinton nominees from being voted on, and the last ten or so the Dems want to stop are all extremists with records of putting corporate welfare and personal religious views above the law.

The GOP is out with a dishonest ad now plugging two women, one of them black, they want as judges. They make them both sound like acceptable moderates or even liberals, but they're far from it. Both are the type who would do things like excuse Enron and Halliburton from lawsuits. This is really more about corporate corruption not school prayer or abortion.
