Rightwingers are trying to revise history to condemn strides in personal freedom and consciousness made in the 60's, to rewrite the Vietnam War as a "noble cause" instead of a terrible tragic lie and mistake, and to pretend Watergate never happened.

If they can do this, plus condemn Kennedy and Clinton, then put Reagan on a god-like pulpit, then a new reality is born. God's Own Party was always right, and Democrats (as Anne Coulter says) are "traitors".

President Nixon was more honest than Clinton. President Nixon was never convicted of any crime. President Nixon did not have a criminal wife. Clinton had a wife who testified over 80 times in two hours, "I do not recall" or "I cannot recall"; President Nixon's wife was never deposed. President Nixon had the honor to resign, while Clinton just insisted on putting his country through an impeachment. We could go on for hours. The only things I can think that Clinton was better at than President Nixon was lying, philandering and similar Democrat ideals.

If President Nixon had inherited an economy like Clinton did, he would be remembered much more fondly. At least President Nixon was remembered for his quote "I am not a crook" instead of Clinton's "I did not have (much) sex with that girl". How embarrassing for Chelsea, who was "that little girl's" age.
