And has alaska become self sufficient? I won't be greedy.... is Alaska say, the 10th largest economy in the world yet? How about the 12th? Because if it was an economic powerhouse then their state would have some clout. Oh- wait- Alaska is the most heavily subsidized state in the US. Oh, never mind. Its california money that pays for alaska then. So I guess alaska has to live by California's rules. too bad for them, harsh realities of economics.
