This is a nice utopian dream you have about law enforcement All police crime solving is done after the fact! EDIT a very few exceptions <<The entire point about profiling is that it's indiscriminate. Resemblance is not probable cause. There was plenty of info prior to 911 that could have been used to mitigate or even halt 911. The entire point is to find out WHO SPECIFICALLY is conspiring. Find the couple of dozen people who rate further scrutiny instead of automatically making millions into suspects...
