"Can we all say DUH!!!!!" I picture you walking around all day long saying it--with your lower jaw hanging down a foot or two! Your "point" has nothing to do with the abortion issue. The abortion issue is about the right to kill anything in your body or to nourish (or NOT) anything in your body. Even men are killing fully developed organisms in their bodies all the time. Everyone if chock full of endotoxic creatures which it is unhealthy to nourish. It would be wonderful if people could have only WANTED children. But the churches stand in the way of proper contraceptive use, the morning after pill--and other such prophylactics. Most people are somewhat opposed to abortion after "quickening"--even while they recognize it as a RIGHT of the fully conscious and sentient being who can decide what stays in her body and what does not. If people such as yourself would put your efforts into teaching safe intercourse instead of attacking basic human rights...the world would become saner and better. So come down from the monkey tree and increase your vocabulary beyond "DUH". Abortion has always been done and there are many ways to self induce. So get off your high horse of superstition and join the women of the world in their fight for THERAPEUTIC abortions performed by professional people in a hygienic setting. Forget the egg for now. There are real live sentient beings who need to be recognized as having ownership of their own bodies. Nobody donates a kidney to save an egg. But I would certainly donate one to save my brother--as I'm sure you would. So get out of your moralistic "Holier than Thou" arrogance, and come walk in the real world of humanity. Your Christian sneering does nothing to improve conditions in the world. Go feed somebody on the street a can of beans on your day off and talk about work prospects and forget your stupid pamphlets and moral tracts.
