It is more for his sake than mine that I am trying to get him to quit, Holly. Great thing that I now have a longer life expectancy, but it would not be so good to be living those extra years all by myself, now would it?

Besides, temperatures down here on the French Riviera are hardly anywhere near necessary for pneumonia, don't you worry :-)

I once quit for six months (my longest quit). During that time, I allowed my smoking friends and family to light up at will around me and in my home. Their smoking had no effect whatsoever on my then-resolve to stay free of the
evil weed.

SURE it didn't. The fact that you are still a smoker is the merest coincidence.
