My dad smoked when I was a kid. Tarrington smokers would rather fight than switch, you know. ;-)

We used to like to open new packs for him and smell the tobacco. He used to smoke in the car on long trips, too, and it didn't bother me at all. Kind of liked the smell. Now I can't stand it anywhere near me - it just irritates my eyes and sinuses.

Then there's the smell of your clothes after spending an evening in a bar where there are smokers - the jeans have to go straight in the wash.

BTW, I grew up in a tobacco town. The smell from the warehouses when they were full of cured leaf was great.

Never was a tobacco smoker myself, though. Never saw the point. And when I was in HS and college (when many people start), I couldn't afford it anyway.
