My investment thesis for buying AMTD was a takeover by ET. With that thesis unlikely now, I would rather take a 20% profit that could vanish given recent events, rather than hold and take a risk for another buck or two.

I have a small account at AMTD and they do a good job. But I don't find the business compelling enough to own it as a stand alone proposition. That's just my view, however.
