I think Britain should send it's spent nuclear fuel to Iran for reprocessing. Their reprocessing nuclear engineers can only be more competent then ours. I bet they wouldn't even have a quarter of a bathtub of nitric acid laden with plutonium and uranium swirling around after a leak was discovered.

/edit Tony, instead of giving the Iranians lip over nuclear processing issues, should invite the Iranian nuclear engineers over here to help clean up the Thorp disaster.

Maybe slip them a couple of kg of Uranium as a "bung" for helping us out. The Iranians probably want to develop alternative power technology for when the oil runs out.

If I was the Iranian pm, I would denounce Britain to the international community as not being fit to handle nuclear materials.
