The Bow Lingual is a nice idea. The dog wears a little unit on its collar, and then there is a control unit, about the size of a cell phone. You can carry the control unit with you while you are with your dogs, or if you leave them at home and set it correctly, you can find out what the dog said while you were gone.

The price has really come down as the novelty wore off. I would suspect people only buy it when they have a dog they don't understand very well, and after they have used it for awhile, they do, so it gets tucked into a drawer somewhere.

Still, I was reading more about the device you posted, and the trick is they charge you a dollar for every bark they translate. That could get expensive, of course!
