Yep. We are now experiencing a backlash against...INTELLIGENCE. Apparently, civil society has become so complicated and frightening for the knuckle-dragging crowd that they have to put on the brakes and send all of us skidding back into the Middle Ages. It would be interesting to see if brain scans do indeed show (I'll bet a nickle on it) that fundamentalists rarely use their prefrontal cortex while their lizard brain keeps hopping up and down on steroids. This would explain what the heck is the matter with Kansas, Republicans and the US Congress.
