I was raised a Catholic. After being told I would go to hell for just about everything a human faces in their daily lives, I slipped away. I took a 30 plus year break. Circumstances required that I go to a Catholic Mass last week in a Catholic church. I was on my best behavior. However, I did look at the ceiling of the church to make sure I was not under any light fixtures--in case they were dropped on this fallen servant by an almighty being. Everything went well. I did not turn to stone and I was not struck by lightning.

Sadly, I was mistaken. These people really are this nuts. The last time we had hero worship on this scale to contend with, we whipped the livin' daylights out of both Hitler and Hirohito. George Bush is a dingbat compared with Hitler, but he's surrounded himself with a staff that is ever bit a match for the heinous butchers who whored for Hirohito.
