Those deaths pale in comparison to the larger issue... It's all about control Amy J. And the deep, gnawing fear that someone, somewhere, might actually be enjoying themselves. What makes this particularly twisted is that I strongly suspect that most women aren't even aware of this virus, much less that it causes genital warts and cervical cancer. So the rationale for banning the vaccine is deeply flawed. But they see HPV as their strongest argument that there isn't any form of safe sex since condoms don't stop it. So anything that weakens that argument must be eliminated, regardless of cost.
