Yes, I hear you. There are plenty of death traps laid around this economy: terrorism, inflation, deficits, trade gap, oil prices, real estate bubble, etc.

Any of those things could have a detrimental effect on the economy, but for now the economy is humming along at a nice clip. Average job growth has run faster than the civilian labor pool growth. That is a fact. I think everyone expects us to get back to the crazy growth of the 90's. But that isn't going to happen.

The sooner everyone reduces their expectations back to historical average growth, the better. It will help people realize that what we have now is actually pretty darn good when compared to history. Now if we could get control of the twin deficits, things could be much, much better.
