k...add this to the mix...Why Dell is Well...

Dell Inc. (DELL: Nasdaq)

By Pacific Crest Securities ($36.61, May 13, 2005)

WE ARE UPGRADING shares of Dell to Outperform from Sector Perform based on growing confidence that Dell can offset declining personal computer industry growth through accelerating share gains in storage, servers, notebooks, printers, flat-panel TVs and international markets.

Also, there's attractive upside potential because the stock is near its five-year trough price-to-earnings multiple at less than 19.4 times estimated 2006 earnings.

There's also a shift in mix to higher-margin products and services that should better position Dell to sustain profit margins despite aggressive promotions on PCs.

We are raising our estimates slightly and establishing a $50 price target, which equates to a 25x P/E multiple of 2006 estimated earnings adjusted for cash and interest income.

Market and macroeconomic conditions could interfere with the realization of this price target, as could risks such as fluctuations in PC component costs, component shortages, supply-chain uncertainties and competitive pricing.
