You did leave off the "<G>" when you quoted me.

In other words, you have put up about 10% margin? And if the contract drops to about $44, you will lose your entire stake unless you can come up with another $50,000 or more for the margin calls? Now if a person is sitting on $500,000 cash, that's not a serious situation.

OK, I studied your original post about your plans. It may work out for you. I am speaking as a person who managed to lose something like $200,000 in futures a good many years ago--most of what I had previously managed to make in the bull market in stocks of the 1980s.
