We are all hoping for salvation from normal business cycles. IMO the best hope we have from escaping the next downturn is a few million immigrants. As you point out, they are one of the important fuels that power our business cycles. I can understand why people are against illegal immigration. But why are people against legal immigration? Is it because they think maybe they might want to follow their carrier in banking with a job in lawn care? The follow on to that union job might be flippin' burgers?
