It's interesting to see that bearshark, you and I are all members of the FARC.

I wonder if we're "counted" when the number of Catholics in the US [or world] is tossed about. IMO, we could start a pretty good church. At least FARCs have read the bible, as opposed to those bible toting/thumping evangelicals; the modern equivalent of pharisees. They can't possibly have read the bible. If they had, they would know that Jesus of Nazareth thought of the pharisees; so shall the Evangelicals be forbidden from entering the Kingdom of God. [See Matthew 5:20 and Matthew 23:13 among others]. Did Jesus ever have a nice word to say about the pharisees? I can't remember any.

At those rare times when I watch the 700 Club, I can't help but recall Matthew 21:12-13. 12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the chairs of them that sold doves: 13 And he saith to them: It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves. Do the 700 Club members say "Doves? I didn't see any doves sold by PR. Plenty of VHS tapes, books and DVDs, but there have been no "doves" sold."

Do any Evangelicals read the whole bible or are they just stuck in Leviticus? They couldn't have possible read and/or understood John 8:15 You [pharisees] judge according to the flesh: I [Jesus of Nazareth] judge not any man. This was not a division of labor assignment.

I was gratified to see that the new R.C. doctrinal successor to Torquemada is from San Francisco. It's hard to imagine what sort of kinkiness such a combination will propagate.

Interesting that FARCs follow such things. Maybe he's being pulled out of San Francisco for rehabilitation. I don't expect he'll be allowed to give out any doctrinal advice without first running it by Pope Benedict. I'm looking for the Vatican to try to round up all the Vatican II documents for a weiner roast in front of St. Peter's.

I have thought myself to be "FARCed-up" on many occasion.
