how about these base closing proposals. Everybody gets upset about the budget yet will not go along with base closing in their area.

Quite a few of the proposed base closing are repeats going back a decade or more. Let's face facts if the military said they didn't need the place over ten years ago and again confirm it, we should have enough self respect to let go of the dole coming in to support our neighborhoods.

One example of prime real estate , i would think would be portsmouth N.H. right on the water and cost of housing in boston area is out of site. It is hard to believe the area cannot be transformed into something more desirable and produce much higher income. we have other areas that have been identified to close two and three times yet remain open and costly to the over budget. willow grove pa. is an example of a facility identified three times , per news last night, yet still open. We have ft. dix and Maguire Air Force base perhaps only seventy miles away which can certainly take up any slack and plans to take several of the duties.

wouldn't it be great if we could let our military cut spending in areas that are waste and build up areas needed troop support.

I laughed at that comment and concluded the investigating officer had never fired in combat.

I'm sure you are right.
And that USMC Colonel just ended his own career too.

Talk about self-inflicted wounds...
I wonder how this BS looks to a kid thinking about enlisting.

Why is MSM hiding the heroes?

MSM is killing us. We need a couple of Ernie Pyles reporting from the front. We need Ollie North writing articles for the NYT.
