i wouldn't expect everyone to agree with all the base closings but this is self interest when we have every senator and state rep come out against a closing in their area. I find it hard to believe they have the interest of the nation in mind rather it is getting elected again to office. we all want federal dollars to come back to our states but let's try to make it productive money not dole money. Can we justify willow grove in pa staying open.. sub base in groton ct. or portsmouth naval yard. ? there must be dozens of others that need to be closed. Many of these bases were identified before Bush adm and Rumsfeld.
