Smoking pot? All recruits are drug tested prior to entry and regularly for a while. Users get a quick ticket home. Hi tech American equipment, battlefields and drugs are a real bad mix.

Smoking pot? What kind of criminal record? I suspect they are having to pass on teenagers who might do well if given the chance, and that this is the reason we see recruiters bending the rules If the military hadn't "bent the rules", most of my hometown buddies would never have gotten in. Lots of petty teenage boy mischief on the records. Didn't stop the local cops from giving some of them recommendations. The military gets its recruits mainly from small town middle America. And in small town middle America, there's often little to do and lots of trouble to be had. Derek
