Totally agree with this, CB! Why anybody listens to Buchanan astonishes me.

I saw nothing forgotten. The facts as stated by Bucannan were correct. He placed an interpretation on them. Churchill agreed to sell eastern Europe into stalin's prison. As to wishes, the saying is "if wishes were horses pigs would ride."
Churchill may or may not have wished to continue fighting. I do agree Churchill had little choice to pursue independently war with stalin.

If there is a consideration left out, it's when the decision to sell Eastern Europe down the river. If America was still at war with Japan, the loss of American life to that date and the expectations of further loss would greatly color the choices made. But the decision to sell Eastern Europe down the river was made.

I also did not see anyone blaming.

Other questions arise. If Britain endured six years of war and hundreds of thousands of dead in a war she declared to defend Polish freedom, and Polish freedom was lost to communism, how can we say Britain won the war?

If the West went to war to stop Hitler from dominating Eastern and Central Europe, and Eastern and Central Europe ended up under a tyranny even more odious, as Bush implies, did Western Civilization win the war?

What does win mean?
